About Me
I’m Matias, a freelance photographer, videographer, and audiovisual content creator based in Oulu, Finland. I’m also a multi-instrumentalist, and both music and visual storytelling are core passions of mine.
I'm a father of three children, which has had a profound impact on who I am as a person and how I see the world.
I have also travelled extensively around the world, and travel has deeply shaped my perspective on people, cultures, and life in general.
My educational background includes a degree in digital engineering. Alongside my creative work, I currently work in the mental health field, which gives me a deeper understanding of people and human connection.
What started as a hobby has gradually evolved into a professional career. Today, I offer my visual expertise and creative perspective to clients who value authentic and impactful storytelling.
Vision
What fascinates me most about photography is the ability to freeze a meaningful moment — capturing something that lasts only a fraction of a second, yet can tell a story and evoke emotions for years to come.
My goal is to create images that feel personal, engaging, and genuine. During shoots, I aim to maintain a relaxed and natural atmosphere where authentic moments and real emotions can emerge — because that’s where the best images come from.
I am a self-taught photographer, continuously developing my skills and evolving my artistic vision.
